Law Enforcement & Government Requests

Eporner cooperates with duly authorised law enforcement, judicial, regulatory and governmental authorities in accordance with applicable law. This page explains how authorised authorities may request:

- action concerning specific content;
- preservation of existing records;
- disclosure of non-public information; or
- assistance in an emergency involving an imminent threat to life or serious physical injury.

A content report, preservation request and disclosure request are separate procedures. A preservation request does not authorise disclosure of information.

Who may use these channels

These contact channels are intended exclusively for authorised public authorities acting in an official capacity.

Users, copyright owners, private companies and private litigants should use the appropriate Eporner procedure:

Official communications are accepted in English. Notices submitted in languages other than English may require translation by a sworn or otherwise officially certified translator, which may significantly extend the time required to review and respond to such notices.

Information required

Every request should include:

1. the full name, country and department of the requesting authority;
2. the requester’s name, title and official contact details;
3. the case or reference number;
4. the legal basis and type of legal process;
5. a signed copy of the relevant order or official document;
6. exact Eporner URLs, usernames or content identifiers;
7. the precise date range and applicable time zone;
8. a specific description of the information or action requested;
9. the applicable deadline and its legal basis; and
10. the requested secure method of response.

Requests that are incomplete, excessively broad, unauthenticated or insufficiently supported may be returned for clarification, narrowed, challenged or declined where permitted by law.

Do not send suspected illegal sexual content by email. Provide the exact Eporner URL or content identifier instead.

Verification

Eporner may independently verify:

• the requester’s identity and authority;
• the authenticity of the request;
• the issuing authority’s competence;
• the official email domain, signature or electronic seal; and
• the legal validity and scope of the request.

Requests sent from personal or free email services may be delayed or rejected unless independently verified.

Fraudulent requests or impersonation of public officials may be reported to the competent authorities.

Preservation and disclosure

Eporner may preserve specifically identified existing records where required or permitted by applicable law.

A preservation request:

• does not authorise disclosure;
• does not require prospective monitoring;
• does not require Eporner to create new records; and
• does not confirm that the requested information exists.

Non-public information is disclosed only where required or lawfully permitted under applicable law and after verification of the request.

Eporner does not guarantee that any particular information exists or remains available. Availability may depend on the relevant service functionality, account activity, deletion, retention periods and technical limitations.

User notification and confidentiality

Eporner may notify an affected user unless notification is prohibited by law, a binding non-disclosure order or another legally sufficient restriction.

Any confidentiality request should identify its legal basis, scope and duration.

Receipt and reservation of rights

An automated acknowledgement confirms technical receipt only. It does not confirm:

• the requester’s authority;
• legal validity of the request;
• acceptance of service;
• preservation or availability of data;
• agreement to disclose information; or
• agreement to take the requested action.

Publication of these contact details does not constitute consent to jurisdiction, appointment of an agent for service of process or acceptance of service by email.

Eporner reserves the right, where permitted by law, to verify, clarify, narrow, challenge or decline any request.
